Abstract

Early literacy instruction is a commonly researched subject area because of its critical importance for students in grades K-2. With the continuing implementation of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) into the classroom, and the expectation to use ICT tools based upon the common core standards, teachers and pre-service educators have more responsibility in knowing how to best use and implement these tools into the early literacy classroom. This paper explores several strategies and methodologies for the successful implementation of these tools into the classroom.
